As a TV presenter, Marie Claire contributing food and lifestyle editor, supper club hostess, cookbook author and interiors enthusiast, to call Laura Jackson’s diary demanding would be an understatement. Yet, in 2019 she’s already carved out some extra time to develop a new product line and renovate her East London home. Here’s how she juggles her bursting schedule with style.
I like clothes I can just throw on that look like I’ve spent ages getting ready and really thought about my outfit, when actually I’ve just got one dress on and it’s so fabulous that you don’t need to think about anything else. You can have your hair quite natural and do a simple a red lip. Plus, they’re the kind of silhouettes that suit all shapes and sizes.
Somebody like Micky Flanagan. He’d be really funny – you always want someone who’ll keep everyone laughing and not wanting to leave the table.

An Eton Mess. It’s my go-to dessert whatever the season because you can always experiment with different fruit and mix the recipe up to suit the time of year.
Isn’t really a trend, its more about food waste. It’s important to be a bit more conscious about what we’re buying and where we’re buying it from. We need to be a bit more resourceful and inventive, whether that’s going to the butchers and buying different cuts of meat or recycling our peels etc.
Which can cause me to take on too much! But, I always think the best approach is to just give things a go. My motto is ‘live your best life’.
